Executive Director - David
Conklin (co-founder)
Dave is a retired Elementary P.E. Specialist (EOSC-1967) (31 years as
an elementary teacher- 28 years in Hermiston, OR). Actively involved in
the teachers' union during his entire teaching career, Dave served on numerous
local, regional, state and national committees, and he became quite knowledgeable
as spokesperson for bargaining and grievances. Dave now serves on the Hermiston
School Board, and works with the local Kiwanis. He is absolutely a morning
person, and enjoys most any type of physical activity: he's addicted to
distance running, and is increasing his time in the bike saddle. He enjoys
eing a grandpa to Ashton, Addison & Aidan, loves to read, and loves
sports of any kind. "Mr. C" enjoys working with people (especially
young people), and enjoys working to help the less fortunate.

Jean is a 'retired' self-employed Interior Designer (OSU-1969 - Home
Ec. Ed.). A lifelong east Oregonian, she is a wife of 38 years, a mother
of two grown daughters & a son-in-law; and proud grandma of three little
guys. She's a "Mac addict"; dislikes mornings; stays up too late;
enjoys being domestic, camping, writing and traveling. She's a mean typist
and a fearless carpenter / handy woman; and she loves to pound the ivories
& sing on the church worship team. Jean recently published two books:
MUSIC IN THE MIDST OF CHAOS - One
Family's Saga on the Human Rights Battlefield; and IT
WORKS, IT WORKS, IT REALLY WORKS! - Life-Changing Truths Found Only in Christ.

Treasurer - Erin
Erin has been a bookkeeper for the past 28 years for various local businesses,
as well as for an accounting firm. She also operated a bookeeping service.
Erin continues to do the record-keeping for their own farming enterprises,
and she assists family members that are operating businesses. Erin is active
in her church and keeps busy with her children and grandchildren. Erin 's
hobbies include genealogy, sewing, collecting buttons, photo albums and
scrap books, and gardening. Glenn and Erin have 6 grown children, and 16
grandchildren. |

Director - Glenn
Glenn has been farming since he was in high school. He has a 1964 BS
degree in Agronomy from California State Polytechnic University, where he
managed Cal Poly Farm, a 1200 acre diversified farm using student labor.
Past farming has included citrus oranges, lemons and grapefruit in California;
he is currently growing potatoes, corn, alfalfa and wheat crops, covering
a couple thousand acres per year. Prior to that, he was irrigation manager
for a 5,000 acre diversified corporation, being responsible for 108 wheel
lines and 22 circles, as well as the entire irrigation system including
pump plants! Glenn is a gentle man, and a real people-person. He is a director
on a number of regional boards, and is very active in his church. Glenn
and Erin have 6 grown children, and 16 grandchildren. |

Director - Becky
Becky Satter could have written the book about 'displaying random acts
of kindness' because she's always thinking of others. She is a gifted leader,
an experienced instructor, and a natural facilitator. Becky is super organized,
likes to be a team player, dislikes housework, loves lattes, and likes to
garden. Raised in the midwest, Becky is the younger of two girls. She enjoys
singing, listening to music and books on tape, and encouraging her three
children to be the best they can be.

Peter is a business professional with management and finance background.
He has directed all aspects of a wholesale/retail business, including the
supervision of a team of front-line managers for 15 years. He's been a financial
analyst for a 25 million dollar budget in a large information delivery company.
And he's presented a financial curriculum across a DOE site as a subject
matter expert. Peter is now the senior manager for a large Information Technology
company. Peter is active in his church. He previously served as Chairman
of the Board for a mission providing food and clothing to over 10,000 individuals
a year. He's volunteered for Special Olympics, youth softball and soccer.
He's an avid runner; has done marathons, triathlons, and has done extensive
distance biking. He's a dad to two almost-grown children, and husband of
a teacher.
