In preparation for a team that will arrive in Honduras March 4, Dr. Jose is supervising the building of an adobe house in El Plan Grande, a rural area near San Juancito. The two pictures below show the beginning of the project. The concrete block building in the background is a two-room elementary school. The wife of the family, Melissa, is the daughter of Marcia. A few blogs back you can read Marcia's story. She was a dear friend of all at Cadena de Amor and many of us with Heart for Hope. With her battle against breast cancer and Parkinson's Disease, it seems she had little chance of spending much time with her grandson before she passed. For me personally, it is a delight to be able to help build this house for Melissa, and in March I will help construct some furniture for her new home.
